Halloween!

Trick or Treat smell my feet, give me something good to eat!  If you don't I don't care, I'll pull down your underwear!  UGGGH! My kids have been saying this nonstop!! I will admit it was cute the first few times - as cute as those fun things picked up on the school bus can be- but it's starting to drive me crazy!!

I have decided that Halloween gets more and more fun the older your little ones get.  This was definately the best so far!  Dylan and Sicily were both so excited to wear their costumes to school, dance, etc....and their excitement was totally rubbing off on me!  They kept asking me all day "what are you and dad being for halloween?"  finally I decided that If I am going to ever be the fun mom I have always wanted to be - this involves dressing up on halloween.  So, in the last few minutes before the trunk or treat I threw together a doctors uniform and whipped out my mad halloween make-up (an old family recipe:) skills so Mikael could go as my patient.  Much to his excitement - you who know him well can imagine!  He groaned and grumbled the whole time until he looked in the mirror!  He wouldn't fully admit it but I could tell he knew he looked pretty KILLER!

where is my sweet little blonde boy?

Last year Sis wanted to be a pink flamingo...this year she insisted on being a peacock.
I'm starting to think she has a weird bird obsession!  I will give her this though...she has a seriously fun imagination, I hope she never
 changes!

IT'S A GIRL!

Okay, so I haven't been much of a blogger - right Robyn?!  Anyways, this time I have a good excuse...my camera was plugged into my laptop and blame it on the "baby amnesia"  I grabbed my laptop off the counter and my camera went FLYING!  So I have been missing out on some serious photo ops the past few weeks.  (hauling wood at the ranch was not one of them Mandi!)
We found out a few weeks ago that we are having a girl!  The very first thing I thought about was now having THREE girls hair to do in the mornings and how much longer it was going to take me to get out of the house!  Boys are so much simpler!  Regardless, we are very excited!  We have had a girl name chosen since long before this pregnancy but were still stumped on a boy name - so now I am happy that I actually get to use it!  Also they moved my due date up a week so now she is due on Valentine's Day!(poor girl) We had Weston convinced that we were going to name her Amore because of my due date and he told EVERYONE! Sorry Wes, but you are sooo gullible!  Sis has started pre-school at Jennie Miller's and is LOVING it!! It's because she has the BEST teacher! Dylan is also loving first grade and is quite the little math wiz!
So hopefully my camera situation will be fixed soon and none of you give up on me.....later!

I warned you

When I started this blog I warned ya'll that I am no good at this and I realize it has been months since I updated.  So - now that we're all back in school and Fall (meaning snow in Idaho) is right around the corner - I better post a recap of our summer.  Here are a few highlights.......

mikael and dylan on a bike ride
old faithful with my sisters
cousins
little monkey
Labor Day with Messingers - we spent Labor Day weekend in Island Park with my family.  It was so much fun to see my siblings that I NEVER see and the kids had so much fun playing with and getting to know their other cousins!

Bike trip over Bear tooth Pass...  We went on a bike trip to Red Lodge, MT with our sister in law Lindsay and her husband Landon.  It was a blast!  Red Lodge was such a fun little town.  While we were there we hit this totally ghetto saloon for a fun filled night of PIG RACING!(see video)  yeah, i didn't know there was such a thing!  from the outside this place looked pretty questionable but when you walked through the bar to the "race track" there were families everywhere.  It turns out that the saloon donates all the pig racing money to scholarships for the high school kids.....who knew!....only in Montana!!!

Soccer games...Sicily played (aka ran around holding her coaches hand) this year and although she (we) made it through...I don't think it was exactly her thing!  She just started dance and seems to be loving it!  As I'm writing this I realized that I took video of Dylan playing baseball - but no pictures!

Dylan putting a fish hook completely through his hand! - OUCH
I think this one pretty much explains itself.

camping with the Miller's - we weren't able to go camping as much as we would have liked this summer but we did get a quick trip in with our Miller friends!

"that's no etch- a- sketch, this is one doodle that can't be undid, home skillet!" Movie trivia...- Baby number 3! Actually, I thought I had food poisoning!  I woke up one morning sicker than I had ever been in my life! Turns out it was a baby!  Mikael just started laughing ( he had been wanting a baby for a while ).  everyone is very excited! Everyday Mikael rubs my belly (which is growing by the second) and says, "how is my little boy?" Neither one of us care either way, but he says he just thinks it's a boy.  We find out for sure in a couple of weeks... Oh, and today Sicily asked me if the extension cord (aka, umbilical cord) was hooked up in my belly yet? ha. ha.

Annual 24th of July redneck water party at Angell's.....always a good time! Max and Joy have a water/mud volleyball party every year and we always look forward to it.  they make a giant size water slide out of what i think is a hay tarp or something....anyways, it is a blast! Last year Joy had a snow cone machine and this year she outdid herself by having a cotton candy machine going for all the kids.  We love you guys and are looking forward to next year!

"I Got Worms"

I know that everyone thinks they have the funniest kids but I have to tell you about this crazy 4 year old girl of ours....There is nothing Sicily loves more than lip gloss and sparkles .....except WORMS!  Yes, Worms.  Every morning she begs her dad to take her outside to find worms.  She then insists on packing them around with her all day until they are crusty and dried up to the point that they break apart.... which is then followed by hysterical crying.  The other day she begged me to let her worm sleep in her bed with her...EWWW!  Needless to say, her dad thinks she is the coolest girl around!
